Customer Feedback - Aquatic Products
A letter from Beverley O'Sullivan of Middlesex
in the January 2000 issue of "Koi Carp" magazine states:
"After reading the September issue of your excellent
magazine, and the letter and photographs from Mr J T Collings of
Surrey, I felt I had to write to you concerning the dreaded blanketweed.
Mr Collings seems to have the same problem we used
to have with blanketweed. We used to spend most of our time dragging
yards and yards of it out of our pond with the same type of grass
rake that he uses. We tried everything, wasted a small fortune on
electronic gadgets (which don't work) and chemicals (which do work
but only for a brief period of time). It was so bad that we couldn't
leave the pond for longer than a couple of days because the bottom
drain would get clogged up and the filters would be starved of water.
We had the problem for two years and were close to
giving up. But then we found a cure - Viresco
Aqua. This product has completely knocked the weed for six.
Our phosphate and nitrate levels have plummeted and the blanketweed
has died off. It has been so nice to be able to sit back and enjoy
the fish and the pond again.
We can definitely say that Viresco
Aqua works and would certainly recommend that Mr Collings should
try it"
David Brown, on a web page,
refers to a trial he conducted for "Koi Ponds and Gardens"
using Viresco
in his pond. He states:
".... To validate any effects, I performed tests
daily for both nitrate and phosphate. I was somewhat concerned that
my initial nitrate level of 80ppm was very high, and my phosphate
level was "off the scale".
After 10 days, the nitrate level was zero, and the
growth (of blanketweed) had slowed from approximately 2 feet a day
to virtually nothing. The phosphate took longer to reduce, but slowly
began to decrease. Unfortunately, my holiday coincided with the
test, and on my return home, I immediately went out to check the
pond. The weed was brown, most was dead and had stopped growing.
At the time of writing it is some six weeks since
I first added it to my pond. The dreaded weed has stopped growing.
I have a coating about 1" long on the pond wall, which the
fish enjoy browsing, but absolutely no weed on the pond bottom.
........
.......The absence of weed has some further benefits,
less waste gets caught in the weed, so water clarity improves, and
the time spent removing the weed can be spent enjoying your fish
as it should be. Reduction in nitrate can make your fish less lethargic
and keener to feed.
Viresco
is available in two types: Viresco
Koi which contains solely the bacteria that consume nitrate and
phosphate and Viresco
Aqua which also contains bacteria to degrade fish waste. Both these
products are 100% organic.
This product has solved the weed problem for me and
I shall continue to use it on an ongoing basis. If trying for the
first time I suggest that you test your water for nitrate and phosphate
regularly to check on the reduction in levels"
The above was slightly condensed and published in
the September 2000 issue of "Koi Ponds & Gardens".
Unfortunately, in the KP&G article, David's reference to a coating
of " inch on the pond wall" has been incorrectly written
as "a coating of one foot"!!
A message from DJ Burgwin, played back on
our answerphone at 9am on 12th May 1999
He said Viresco
Aqua is "absolutely brilliant. It is knocking seven bells out
of the stuff (blanketweed) already". We had sent it to him
on 5th May by post. He can only have had it in his pond for a maximum
of 5 days.
A builder of ponds wrote in August 1999
".... I had tried almost everything else on
the market from Chemicals to Electronic Blanket weed controllers,
but nothing worked properly. Viresco
Aqua has had most amazing results. The Blanket Weed has died back
to the sides and is now like "Wirewool". I recommend your
product to all our customers who are lucky enough to own a pool
or who we are about to build one for."
A message on the "Koi Ponds & Gardens"
Chat Room posted on the the internet on 31st July 2000 from Mike
G entitled "Response to Nigel re fish behaving badly .....
and Viresco"
"....When I posted the message I had just introduced
Viresco
Koi (bought at the Essex Show), and the fish had seemed to perk
up a bit. A week later and what a difference. The fish is hurtling
around like a torpedo, colour is returning, dorsal fin is a waving
in the current, and of course, true to his heritage, the grub (food)
is going down fast. I can't believe the change, and the water quality
is still superb, esp considering the UV has now been off for over
a week. I really feel the Viresco
has stimulated his appetite, (and all the other fish's too), and
can only say try it out yourself, it seems remarkable."
A letter received from R A Bailey in May 2000
" .... Please supply 10g of Viresco
Aqua for my other pond. Pond No.1 is now completely clear of blanketweed
after using your product. ......PS I can even see the join seam
in the butyl liner in the bottom of the pond."
A letter received from R P Lockwood in May
2001
".... I purchased a pond product, which turned
out to be a disaster. The water went pea soup green in colour and
nearly ruined my pond, then I came across an advert for Viresco
Aqua.
I sent for the product and it was delivered by return
of post. The instructions were carried out re dosage and after three
weeks the pond water turned efficiently to crystal clear. One could
see the bottom of the pond. The koi fish were a joy to behold in
their appearance.
This Viresco
Aqua in my opinion is second to none. Pondkeepers should give it
a try and see the vast improvement in the clarity of pondwater."
A letter received from D Whitecross in August
2001
".... This (Viresco
Koi) is the only product I have used that actually works (and I
have tried a few). This second order is for maintenance doses."
A telephone answerphone message received from a customer
in Chile on 15th November 2001
"This is to say Viresco
Aqua definitely works.. Congratulations." The product was posted
to him on 15th October, exactly one month earlier.
A customer from Glinton, near Peterborough,
said in August 2002
Viresco Koi had “worked wonders”
A customer from Kirby Cane, near Norwich,
said in September 2002
Viresco Koi was the best product he had ever used.
An e-mail from a B Stanford received 19th
June 2003
“On Sunday 8th June I bought ….. a 25g
pack of Viresco Aqua. I must admit I was a little suspicious about
the claims but bought it none the less. I put it into the pond that
evening. I thought I noticed a difference within 4 days, in that
the blanket weed seemed to be stopping in its growth but really
could not believe it. But now, 19th June, the blanket weed has almost
disappeared and the sediment is also disappearing. Having tried
several remedies over the years to no avail I am pleased to tell
you that your product appears to have done the trick within days.
Lets hope that this continues. I shall have no problem in recommending
it to others.”
An e-mail from a Mike Horsford received
on 13th August 2003
"Just a note from a very satisfied customer. I applied a 10
gramme dose of Viresco Aqua to my 5,000 gallon pond eight days ago
and am delighted to report that the infestation of blanket weed
has gone, and I mean gone! There is no sign of blanket weed or any
appreciable accumulation of debris on the bottom of the pond. The
only downside is that my fish have developed insatiable appetites!"
